bail out

The case for and against the $700 billion bail-out.

Personally, I’m not all that sure about it. That all said, the economic crisis is exactly why the first Presidential debate should go on. (Watch Dave Letterman muse on John McCain canceling his Late Show appearance.)

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old Canadian was found guilty of participating in a terrorist organization. One of their goals was, literally, to off PM Stephen Harper’s head. Now, I’m not a big fan of the fella; but I wouldn’t ask for his head. That’s just…bleck.

PETA Urges Ben & Jerry’s To Use Human Milk

Yes, you read that correctly. PETA wants Ben & Jerry’s To Use Human Milk.

So have they sent this same message to other ice cream makers who use milk as an ingredient? If not, then…why?

Not that it matters or anything. In my view, most of PETA’s tactics are crazy anyway. Plus, if “the breast is best”, then why the eff aren’t humans at large being urged to buy/sell breastmilk on its own for human consumption? (I mean, yeah, soy and rice milk are also options; but work with me here, please?)

the 2010 world cup mascot + RIP yankee stadium

Apparently, South Africa decided its mascot for the 2010 World Cup (Soccer/Football) will be a green-haired leopard named Zakumi.

Mmmmmkay. Now, Zakumi is a male, according to organizers; but, to me, he looks like a girl. I’m just sayin’.

Meanwhile, RIP, Old Yankee Stadium.

OneWebDay

Not only is it the fall equinox in the northern hemisphere, it’s also OneWebDay. This year’s focus is “online participation in democracy”.

Also: I missed “Talk Like a Pirate Day” on Friday. Arrrrrrgh!

I’ve added three new photos to the site…
