gitmo’s shuttin’ down!

Excite News - White House Near Decision to Close Gitmo

Alleluia! :D

demiurgiclust, layout number 21

New layout! If you’re reading from the blog, head over to demiurgiclust.net and check it out. Also, from now on, the Site Updates will not only be posted on the blog, but will be readable from the main site as well (hat-tip to FeedBurner). This should make it a hell of a lot easier to post updates. *nods*

There’s also new art/visual poetry in the artwork section, a new photograph, and a new wallpaper. All three of those sections have also received some makeovers as well; in particular, for the wallpaper section, you may now preview the wallpapers you want to download, simply by clicking “preview” below the thumbnail of the one you’d like to see.

The formmail (see the contact section) has also been updated. *nods*

Shadowness 7

Shadowness is beta-testing version 7 at the moment…and the future looks yummy and minimal…with portfolios! :)

As always, user pages are customizable with CSS and your own self-made headers. I’ve had a little fun with it, as you can see below…

Edit: I’d forgotten it’s still under beta testing mode. That said, I do have ten invites for any of you artsy types who would like one. *nods*

Do go have a look-see! :)

Friday5.org ~ the fad edition

Hat-tip, as always, to Friday5.org.

1. What’s something you were into before it became popular?
I’m not sure. *ponders*

2. What’s something you were reluctant to jump on the bandwagon with, but now are totally into?
Stuff like Myspace, Facebook, and Virb. I’m not-so-much into Myspace now; but I do like Facebook and Virb.

3. What’s a current trend or fad you just don’t get?
What looks like bad eighties fashion, the return of tapered–now marketed as “skinny”–jeans and leggings, and jackets that look like sacks on people. Bleck! The eighties are long over, tapered trousers and leggings don’t flatter anyone’s figure, and isn’t it better to wear stuff that is more fitted to the body?

4. If you could turn any current fondness of yours into a popular trend, what would it be?
I have NFI.

5. What’s something that’s totally uncool that you love anyway?
Hrm again…

rest in peace, ruth graham

Ruth Bell Graham (wife of the Rev. Billy Graham) dead at 78

“Ruth was my life partner, and we were called by God as a team,” Billy Graham said in a statement. “No one else could have borne the load that she carried. She was a vital and integral part of our ministry, and my work through the years would have been impossible without her encouragement and support.

“I am so grateful to the Lord that He gave me Ruth, and especially for these last few years we’ve had in the mountains together. We’ve rekindled the romance of our youth, and my love for her continued to grow deeper every day. I will miss her terribly and look forward even more to the day I can join her in Heaven.”
