Nettwerk is teaming up with music streaming website Mercora, which will stream songs by Nettwerk’s artists for free (as well as provide downloadable-for-a-small-price exclusive tracks). I love this move; and I wish the major music labels (and, by extension, the RIAA) would follow Nettwerk’s lead rather than fight the digital music industry/file sharing/downloading.

Microsoft iPod rival will be out by Christmastime, according to sources. As if we consumers don’t already have a vast selection of portable MP3 players to choose from already (Apple’s iPod in all its various flavours, Creative Zen’s line, Dell’s stuff, etc.)! Looks like another attempt at domination.
