Check out the new and improved savepolaroid.com, courtesy of Dave Bias, who has put in quite a lot of time on it. So send him a warm thanks or even better, a pack of film!

There are still a few things to iron out and we have all sorts of ideas for useful and fun content to add, including a sticker contest, instructional videos and more. Send us your ideas!

one million love messages contest

The website One Million Love Messages is having a “Sexy Blog Contest”; and I’m entering. :)

Check out the site itself, while you’re at it.

If you want, you can enter the contest, too! The deadline is May 15.

earth day recommendations

Happy Earth Day! To commemorate the day, I thought I would give out a few recommendations of some of my favourite natural, earth-friendly products. (Some are geared more toward women.)

Method. I first heard about them a few years or so ago. At the moment I use their all-purpose cleaner (cucumber-scented), their foamy hand soap, and their “bloq” body wash; and there are some other products of theirs I’d love to try (like the omop).

Seventh Generation. Their product line is vast, including (but not limited to) paper products, cleaning products, laundry products, and feminine care products. I use their feminine products (maxi pads and pantyliners); and they’re the best ones I’ve ever used. They’re made from natural cotton (yay!), with the adhesive made from gum rubber, and they’re completely biodegradable.

The Keeper. I’ve been using one for five years now; and I love it. It’s a lot healthier to use than mainstream tampons (TSS, anyone?) and although it seems pricey, it will pay for itself with all the money you’ll save from not buying tampons, not to mention they will last up to ten years. Order online, or find one at your local health food store.

Virtually all these aforelisted items may be purchased online. Some may also be purchased locally, wherever you are. Be sure to check for availability.

And here’s a yummy, informative post by Manda (with help from The Daily Green) on what recycling symbols mean.
