Almost a year to the day that the Boston Red Sox won their first World Series since 1918, the Chicago White Sox win their first World Series since 1917.

Wheee! :)

Now if only the Leafs can end their nearly-forty-year-long Stanley Cup drought…

Polaroid shutting 2 Mass. facilities, laying off 150 workers. Even worse? Their other two plants — one in Mexico, and one in the Netherlands (which produces 600 and Spectra film, as well as SX-70 Blend for Unsaleable) — will shut down later this year. Time to: 1) Start hoarding film; and 2) Make some noise in Fujifilm’s direction.
