The short version…

* Yes, she was indeed in a persistent vegetative state at the time of her death.

* Yes, the brain damage was irreversible; and–unless a total miracle took place–there was no way she was going to get better.

* She was blind. (So much for her parent’s claims that she could look at them and follow stuff around with her eyes, huh?)

* No evidence of an eating disorder was found.

* The cause of the brain damage is unknown.

* Cause of death? Dehydration.

* No drugs in her system. No evidence of a heart attack.

* Her parents think the medical examiner is full of bull feces and will probably take some legal action. They’re just being pigheaded, IMO.

* GWB is equally pissed off. Keep in mind that, if Terri Schiavo were in Texas, a law GWB himself signed back in 1999 would’ve allowed the doctors to take out her feeding tube much sooner without anyone’s say-so. Ah, compassionate conservatism. (Notice sarcasm.)
